Woodstock 50 … not quiiiiiite as epic as the original.

By that, we mean NOT AT ALL!

Organizers of the troubled Woodstock 50 festival have been denied a permit to hold the event at its most recent proposed site.

After the original venue, Watkins Glen International speedway, pulled out of the festival last month, Vernon Downs in Upstate New York was proposed but never confirmed as the most recent site.

Oneida County Administrator Anthony Picente Jr. says the promoters have five days to appeal the decision, but noted that “what they have submitted to date has not met many of the requirements” to stage the festival and the chances of it taking place in Oneida Country seem “highly unlikely.”

Woodstock 50 is scheduled to take place on the weekend of August 16-18, but has no venue and no tickets have gone on sale.

Well, isn’t that just a mess!?
