Air drummers unite!

RUSH have released an incredible animated video to celebrate the 40th anniversary of ‘Permanent Waves’ and tip their cap to radio who supported the record so many years ago. The video (which you can watch below) also pays tribute the late Neil Peart, who’s skills are on full display on this cut.

It’s a tribute sweet enough to make Bubbles cry.

“The animated video captures the magic, spirit and growth of the FM radio format with a nostalgic nod to the pioneering DJ’s broadcasting music into homes around the world.

This year also marks the 100th anniversary of the first entertainment radio broadcast from the XWA studio in Montreal as well as the first licensed broadcasting station in the U.S.”
